333.13102 This law is about tattooing, branding, or body-piercing of minors. Also provide information about written informed consent of parent or legal guardian. Also gives regulations about person under the influence of intoxicating liquor or controlled substances while tattooing.

Sec. 13102

  1. Any person is not allowed to tattoo, brand, or perform body-piercing on a minor unless and until that person obtains the consent of the minor's parent or legal guardian in written form.

    The parent or legal guardian of the minor shall execute the written, informed consent, which is required under this subsection in the presence of the person, who is performing the tattooing, branding, or body-piercing on the minor or in the presence of any other employee or agent of that person.

    In this section, minor is not same as the Michigan Compiled Laws, "minor" who is emancipated pursuant to section 4 of Act No. 293 of the Public Acts of 1968, being section 722.4.

  2. A person is not allowed to tattoo, brand, or perform body-piercing on other person, if the other person is under the influence of a controlled substance or intoxicating liquor.
