Two motorcycles side by side and facing in the same direction is allowed, as there is no provision made for the motorcycles for two abreast in a same lane but more than two abreast in a single lane is not allowed in Minnesota.
The motorcycle operator should not overtake and pass in the similar lane, while it is occupied by the vehicle being overtaken. It is not allowed to operate a motorcycle between the traffic lanes or through the adjacent rows of other vehicles.

- Use Left mirror/Right mirror - One of it is necessary by law.
- Radar Detector - Not necessary.
- Turn Signals - Not necessary.
- Rider-Education Waiver - Test for Skill is done.
- Motorcycle Endorsement from Other States - Yes accepted.
- RiderEd Completion Card from Other States - Not applicable.
Off Road Requirements for motorcycles
- Helmet safety - Required for less than 18 years of age.
- Eye protection - Required by law.
- Minimum age for operator - Restricted as below 12, supervision is must and below 18 not allowed on public lands.
- Certificate of rider education - Needed only for below 16 years of age.
- License for operator - Not required.
- Headlights - Use as per requirement at all times.
- Taillights - Use as per requirement at all times.
- Muffler required - It is must by law.
- Sound levels Maximum limit - Restricted for ATV : 99dba @ 20 Inches/ OHV: 96dba @ 20 Inches.
- Registration - Necessary by law.
- Title for vehicle - Not necessary by law.
- Spark Arrestor - Required.
