Idaho State's Marriage Ceremony Officiating Requirements

Priests or ministers of the gospel of any denomination may perform marriages. Within 30 days after the marriage Ministers are supposed to give a marriage certificate and complete the license and marriage certificate and return it to the recorder who issued it.

Idaho Marriage License Information

One has to finish all the legal activities of wedding done at least a month prior the wedding date. The marriage license doesn't expire in Idaho. Requirements keep on varying as per the county in Idaho.

Marriage Fees Required in Idaho: $45 on Saturdays and $28 on weekdays and accepted by cash only.

Any Other Test Required in Idaho: As per Idaho Code 32-412A, both need to read and sign a premarital AIDS educational pamphlet compulsory.

Common Law Marriage Option in Idaho: Common Law Marriage in Idaho is not allowed but recognized it was created before 1st January 1996.

Cousin Marriage in Idaho: No.

Proxy Marriages in Idaho: No.

Marriage for Same-Sex Option in Idaho: No.

Wait Period in Idaho: There is no waiting period for marriage in Idaho.

Under 18 Marriages: A court order needed for those who are under 16 years of age. If an individual is in between 16 to 17 years of age, then a certified copy or original birth certificate, or a passport, or state ID card, or a driving license is required along with parental consent written on the Affidavit of Consent to Marriage of Minor.
