Alabama State's Marriage Ceremony Officiating Requirements

Any of these a licensed minister of the gospel in regular communion with the Christian church or society of which he is a member in that state may perform marriages. As well as the pastor of any religious society according to the rules of the religious society in that state may perform marriages. Wait Period in Alabama: In Alabama except after being divorced, there is no any waiting period. As you have to wait for 60 days after getting a divorce.

Marriage Fees Required in Alabama:

You can pay the fees by Cash or by credit card as per the provision of the County. Only $2 locales charge is taken from you for payment by a credit card.

License fees may also vary and for getting marriage license only it is $43.35, for getting marriage license and a certified copy of marraige certificate, it is $63.

Any Other Test Required in Alabama: Blood or other medical tests are not required.

Cousin Marriage in Alabama: It is Allowed.

Proxy Marriages in Alabama: No.

Marriage for Same-Sex Option in Alabama: No.

Common Law Marriage Option in Alabama: Yes.

Under 18 Marriages: In case of any one of the applicants are of age less than 18 years, birth certified copy is must as well as parents of both the applicants must be present and they should have the proper court order and valid identification, or in case if the person have legal guardian, they also must be present with a legal court order and the proper identification.

Alabama state requires $200 bond payable to this State. As per the Alabama Code Section 30-1-4, who are under 16 years of age not allowed to marry.
