Laws for Infant safe Haven

• Age Requirements :
  Statute: - § 49-6E-1
  • The child should be minimum thirty days old.

• One may relinquish the Infant (he or she) is:
  • Parents.

• Safe Haven Provider Responsibilities :
  Statute: - §- § 49-6E-1; 49-6E-2
  • They can take any action to protect the child and his health.
  • No need of parents to identify the child.
  • They must notify the services to protect the child.

• Parental Rights :
  Statute: - §- § 49-6E-2; 49-6E-5
  • The department.
  • Eligibility of child is must for adoption.
