- Non-Identifying Information : Adopted person should be of eighteen years old or more. Birth parents, adoptive parents, legal guardians and adopted adult must refer the registry to receive the non identifying information.

Consents
- Consent to an adoption shall be done by:
Statute: Tit. 15A, - § 2-401- Birth mother, biological father, child's legal guardian.
- A person who has acknowledged paternity.
- The child-placing agency for adoption.
- When Consent is not required :
Statute: Tit. 15A, - § 2-402- If a person has given up the parental rights to an agency, then not require any consent.
- If a person's rights have been terminated, then consent is not needed.
- If a person is a representative of a deceased parent's property, then no need of consent.
- Age Requirement for consideration of Adoptee's Consent :
Statute: Tit. 15A, - § 2-401- Consent is must for the child of fourteen years of age or older, unless the state court grants the needs.
- Parental Consent can be executed :
Statute: Tit. 15A, - § 2-404- For execution of consent, minimum 36 hours period is must after the birth of child.
- A guardian can made consent at any time, after being authorized by the Court.
- An agency can made consent at any time.
