Putative Fathers
Rhode Island State requires a Putative Father Registry.
- What are the registry requirements to receive notice?
Statute: - § 170-B:6 (Effective from January 5, 2005)
- The putative father can file before the birth of the child.
- The putative father must complete the form of the Child Support Services.
- The putative father can request a hearing to prove that he is the father within thirty days from the date of notice.
