Adopting Parties
- Followings may place a child for adoption:
Statute: - § 453.014- The parents
- An authorized child-placing agency
- An attorney, clergyman or physician
- Family Services of the Department of Social Services
- Followings may adopt a child :
Statute: - § 453.010- Any individual
Putative Fathers
Missouri State requires a Putative Father Registry.
- What are the registry requirements to receive notice?
Statute: - §- § 453.030; 192.016- The putative father must complete the form of Department of Health.
- The putative father needs to file the notice before the birth of child, or within 15 days after the birth of the child. (notice may be for intent to claim the paternity or acknowledgement)
- Registry Information :
Statute: - § 192.016(1)- A person's name and address who has files the registry and who is adjudicated by the court to be the father.
- Paternity Revocation (of claim):
Statute: - § 192.016(4)- Registration is must for paternity revocation.
- The putative father can revoke it at any time.
- Registry Information Access :
Statute: - §- § 192.016(6); 453.014- A parent
- The court
- Any authorized or child-placing agency
- Division of Family and social Services
- A person having order from the court for good reason shown
- An intermediary
