Putative fathers
Yes, this state have a Putative Father Registry.
Registry requirements to receive notice : Statute: sect; sect; 259.49(1)(b); 259.52, Subd. 7
- The putative father may register Before the birth of the child putative father may register any time , but must not register later than 30 days after the child's birth.
- Within 30 days a putative father who has registered must file his paternity action, after gating notice from the adoption registry to defend rights to the child.
- Within 30 days after receiving a notice of termination proceedings the putative father have to file petition to legitimate the child.
- Before or after the birth of the child the putative father may acknowledge paternity in a signed writing, or indicate the possibility of paternity without acknowledging paternity.

- Registration date, child's name, gender, place of birth, and date or anticipated date of birth if known.
- Name, social security number, address, and date of birth of the birth mother and putative father.
- A certified copy of a court order from another State adjudicating the putative father to be the father if applicable.
