Adoption expenses regulation

A person or organization may not receive compensation for arranging an adoptive placement.

  • A person may not buy or offer a child to sell at any cost.

Fees allowed for charges by agency or department : Statute: Fam. - § 5-327(b)

  • The licensed agency or social services administration can receive reimbursement for cost of adoptive services. Accounting of Expenses Required by Court.
