How to access adoption records?
- Obtain non identifying information:
Adults those are adopted whose age is 18 or older, kin of an adopted adult, and adopted adult's adoptive parents or the legal guardian can formally request the court for non identifying information.
- Obtain identifying information:
Adoption Registry can provide all information about identifying information
- Obtain an original birth certificate:
An adoptee must appeal the court in which the adoption was finalized.
- Using the Adoption Registry:
Following persons may register:
- Age of adopted adult is 18 or older,
- Adoptive parents or a guardian whose child is below 18 or deceased.
- Birth siblings more than 18 or older of age,
- Birth sibling's guardians younger than 18,
- Birth parents.
