  • Resident or nonresident can be adopted
  • person who is unmarried

  • Any person having no age limit

• Who can place a child for adoption : Statute: Tit. 18-A, - § 9-302
  • Parent or any guardian
  • Person or agency which have legal rights of parentship of the child
