- The consent of a parent must have to dispense with, when parent with custody is married to the petitioner and has failed to support, communicate or visit with the child without any cause for 6 months. This causes in interfamily adoption.

- Before a notary and with two witnesses, the consent must be executed.

Advertising used and facilitators in adoptive placements
- Advertisement used : Statute: Rev. Stat. - § 46:1425(A)
For any person other than a licensed child-placing agency it shall be unlawful or a Louisiana-based crisis pregnancy center to advertise through print or electronic media that it will adopt children or assist in the adoption of children.
- Intermediaries or facilitators use : Statutes : Rev. Stat. - § 14:286(B)-(C)
- The procurement for the payment or receipt of anything of value or assistance in the procurement of a party to an act of voluntary surrender of a child for adoption is prohibited.
- No requester, agency, attorney or other intermediary shall make any payment in connection with an adoptive placement.
