Adoption expenses regulation

Expenses allowed for birth parent : Statute: - § 59-2121(a)

  • If any fees found reasonable and legal required for the professional services.

Expenses not allowed for birth parent : Statute: - § 59-2121(a)

  • Fees required for the legal as well as the professional services performed outside the State and it may not be exceeding the customary fees for same services in State.

Expenses allowed for adoption arrangement : Statute: - § 59-2121(c)

  • Intentionally adding the excessive fees is a crime.

Expenses allowed for child relinquishment : Statute: - § 59-2121(a)

Fees allowed for charges by agency or department : Statute: - § 59-2132
