Adoption parties

  • Who can adopt: Statute: 750 ILCS 50/2

    • A couple living together have to petition jointly and husband or a wife may adopt individually, if separated legally for a year or more than it.
    • Any of the famous adult
    • Any minor.

  • Who can be adopted: Statute : 750 ILCS 50/3

    • At least for two 2 years, when a adoptee was minor, and residing in the adoptive environment.
    • A child.

  • Who can place a child for adoption : Statute : 750 ILCS 50/4.1

    • Any licensed agency.
    • The Department of Children and Family Services.
