About adoption consent
- Who have to consent to the adoption : Statute : - § 578-2(a)
- A birth father
- Anybody individually or any agency with a licensed permission

- Legal father of the adoptee
- Age required of an adoptee to consent : Statute : - § 578-2(a)(8)
- Any child of the age 10 years or more than it have to consent for adoption.
- No need of parental consent: Statute : - § 578-2(c)
- If a parent deserted child at max for 90 days.
- If a parent surrendered to care the child voluntarily to any one else more than or for 2 years.
- If a parent failed to contact the child for a year continuously.
- If a parent had already terminated their parental rights
- If a parent proved and found retarded mentally.
- Execution of consent: Statute: - § 571-61
- In case of pregnancy the consent can also be given in 6th month of the pregnancy, only the thing is judgment can apply only after the child birth.
- Consent execution is must: Statute: - § 578-8
- No adoption decree get a grant without a hearing and at the time of the hearing, who wants to consent have to be present.
- Consent revocation : Statute: - § 578-2(f)
- After the child birth it is not possible to withdraw a consent, placed with future adoptive parents, until the court came to know it is with the interest of the child.
