Putative fathers
Yes, this state have a Putative Father Registry.
Registry requirements to receive notice : Statute: - §- § 19-11-9(d)(2); 15-11-96
- Notice of termination proceeding is given in following cases:
- Any of these: the putative father is on putative father registry, the putative father lived with the child, the putative father made any attempt to legitimate the child, or the putative father provided support or medical care to mother of a child.
- Identity of the putative father is known to the attorney or petitioner.
- Within 30 days after receving a notice of termination proceedings the putative father have to file petition to legitimate the child.
- Before or after the birth of the child the putative father may acknowledge paternity in a signed writing, or indicate the possibility of paternity without acknowledging paternity.

- Date of registration
- Address, name and social security number of the biological but not legal father
Revocation of claim to paternity : Statute : - §- § 19-11-9(d)(4); 19-7-46.1
- Voluntary acknowledgment of paternity may be cancled:
- After the 60 days rescission period, in court the acknowledgment can be challenged on the basis of material mistake, fraud, duress.
- Prior to the date of any support order or other adjudication
- 60 days from the date of signing the acknowledgment

Registry information is confidential and on request released only to followings:
- A licensed child placing agency
- A member of the Georgia Bar
- The department
- Governmental department, agency, bureau, board, commission, or political subdivision of any State
