Adoption parties

  • Who can adopt: Statute: - § 63.042

    • If a person is homosexual then that person is not at all eligible to adopt.
    • Husband and wife jointly
    • A divorced or legally separated person for good cause shown
    • Any unmarried person of age more than age 21

  • Who can be adopted: Statute : - § 63.042

    • Any one, a minor or adult.

  • Who can place a child for adoption : Statute : - §- § 63.022; 63.202

    • Any child placing agency which is licensed by the department.
    • Intermediary person or a parent who have reported any placement to the Department of Children and Family Services.
