Adoption expenses regulation

Expenses allowed for birth parent : Statute : Tit. 13, - § 928

• Counseling fees .
• Legal fees.

Expenses not allowed for birth parent : Statute : Tit. 13, - § 928

No any other payment is allowed.

Expenses allowed for adoption arrangement : Statute : Tit. 13, - § 928

It is not allowed by law for a person or any agency to receive payment for the placement or consent to an adoption of a child.

Expenses allowed for child relinquishment : Statute : Tit. 13, - § 928

• The birth parent can not receive any sort of payment for the placement of a child for adoption.

Fees allowed for charges by agency or department : Statute: Tit. 13, - §- § 916; 928

• The licensed agency or department may charge a service fee in the amount not more than the the cost of services rendered.
• The petitioner have to pay the court costs.

Expenses accounting as per court requirement : Statute : Tit. 13, - § 906(10)

• An affidavit has to be attached to the adoption petition which includes the service fees and other expenses paid, and also mentioned with attestation that no intermediary assisted in locating the child.
