Adoption expenses regulation
Expenses allowed for birth parent : Statute: - § 45a-728; 728c
- Telephone costs if reasonable.
- Living expenses of the Birth mother.
- Maternity clothing expenses if reasonable.
- Counseling for the birth mother which also include transportation.
Expenses not allowed for birth parent : Statute: - § 45a-728c
Payment to the birth mother for living expenses should not be more than $1,500 if not approved in unusual circumstances by the court.
