Adoption expenses regulation

Expenses allowed for birth parent : Statute: - § 45a-728; 728c

  • Telephone costs if reasonable.
  • Living expenses of the Birth mother.
  • Maternity clothing expenses if reasonable.
  • Counseling for the birth mother which also include transportation.

Expenses not allowed for birth parent : Statute: - § 45a-728c

Payment to the birth mother for living expenses should not be more than $1,500 if not approved in unusual circumstances by the court.

Expenses allowed for adoption arrangement : Statute: - § 8-114(D)
