Putative fathers

Registry requirements to receive notice : Statute: Fam. Code - §- § 7662; 7663; 7666
- At least 10 days prior to a proceeding the notice have to be given to each person identified as the natural father or any possibility of natural father.
- To identify natural father, the court inquiry have to to be made for searching the birth mother or other relatives or any appropriate person.
- Within 30 days of service of the notice of adoption proceedings, the putative father should bring action declaring the existence of father-child relationship, or birth of the child, anyone of it which is later.
