Putative fathers
Yes, the state has a Putative Father Registry.
Registry requirements to receive notice : Statute: - § 8-106.01(A)(B)
- The putative father may file within 30 days after the birth of a child or prior to the child's birth.
- A completed form of Department of Human Resource signed by the putative father is required for the registration.
Information in the registry or claim : Statute: - § 8-106.01(B)
- The birth date, or approximate month and year of expected birth of the child.
- Name and address of the putative father and the birth mother.
